Vermont State Parks & Historic Site Passes
Vermont State Parks are open for your enjoyment! Call or email to borrow a State Park Pass that admits one vehicle with up to eight people to a Vermont State Park day area, FREE of charge. We also have a Historic Sites pass for Vermont State Historic Sites, which admits one family or group up to eight people for one day.
New Young Adult
Outdoor Story and Activity Time - Wednesdays 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Starting September 7th Cabot Rec Field Pavilion - Join youth librarian Amanda Otto for stories, songs, crafts and activities! Stay after for snacks and active play on the swing sets, sandbox and fields for hiking and birdwatching. All are welcome!
StoryWalk - September – Cabot Rec Field Pavilion
StoryWalk is an innovative and delightful way for children and adults to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. As you stroll down the trail, you're directed to the next page in the story. Cabot's StoryWalk will feature the book Story Boat by Kyo Maclear.
The Night Sky – the week of September 26thth – 8 p.m. – Cabot Rec Field Pavilion
Join Mazie O’Connor and Amanda Otto as we look through the library’s new telescope at the night sky. We will pick the best weather day and announce it on our website and Front Porch Forum. In addition to viewing the star -filled sky, Jupiter will be closest to Earth and at its brightest during these dates. The library will have a limited number of red-light headlamps available for use.
Book Club & Outdoor Exploration Program - Thursday, September 15 - Thursday, October 27th - 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. (ages 7-11)
This club provides youth with a sense of adventure and discovery through reading and outdoor exploration. Space is limited to 8 participants. To register, email firstname.lastname@example.org
Game Club – Tuesdays - Starting September 27th - 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. (ages 12+)
Love board games? Want to discover some fun new games to play? Come to the Game Club and enjoy playing games with your friends.
Homework Help - Wednesdays - 2:15 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (ages 9-13)
The Homework Club offers students a designated place to go after school where teen volunteers will be available to tutor younger students.
Community Service Program - 2nd Tuesday of each month (ages 14-18)
Fulfill your H.S. Community Service requirements at the library! Help shelve books, re-stock take-home kits for kids, tutor kids during H.W. Help, assist the youth librarian during Game Club and Book Club/Outdoor Exploration Program. To register, email email@example.com

Curbside available during regular library hours.
The Library will be closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve. The Library may be closed at other times as approved by the Trustees.
In the event of an emergency or inclement weather, the Library will follow the recommendation and actions of Cabot School District when applicable. Closing during other days and hours will be at the discretion of the Library Director.
